Membership

Our members are from all walks of life from Veterinarians to physiotherapists to lab technicians, office workers, retailers, students and everything in between. Anyone who has a love of animals can join. 

We issue regular newsletters to our members and they are encouraged to contribute and participate by sharing interesting stories, articles, case studies, photographs and handy hints.

We have 4 categories of Membership ( Download Membership Application ):

1) Professional – Those applicants who have completed a Diploma in Holistic Animal Therapies or have evidence of a recognised qualification completed in a Holistic modality including training in anatomy, physiology and pathology for animals, and whose application has been accepted by the NZHATA Committee as fulfilling all the necessary practicing requirements. (This is the required membership for those wanting to become Chartered Natural Therapies Practitioners under the New Zealand Charter of Health Practitioners Inc). Annual submission of case studies and self - improvement/ upskilling/ training is also required.

2) Standard – For those animal lovers not falling into the category above or below.

3) Student – A discounted standard membership for those currently studying in a holistic animal health modality at a recognised teaching facility as approved by the NZHATA Committee.

4) Lifetime Membership – For those honorary members who have been recognised by the Association for their contribution to the health and welfare of animals with particular focus on a holistic approach.

NZHATA Membership

FEES

1) Professional:  NZD 90.00 per annum
2) Standard: NZD 40.00 per annum
3) Student: NZD 35.00 per annum

Our Membership year runs from 1st April to 31st March. Any mid – term joining will be pro-rated to the next common renewal date (31/03) and will renew annually thereafter.
